Mirkio
Remote desktop for iPhone and iPad · Beta

Your Mac,
within reach.

Pair once, then pick up exactly where you left off. Mirkio reaches your Mac from anywhere: through the VPN you already use, such as Tailscale or WireGuard, or with no VPN at all through Mirkio Connect. After a network change it comes back in about a second, without signing in again.

iPhone and iPad app in private TestFlight beta, by invitation.
Built for real use

Feels like sitting at your Mac.

⟳

Comes right back

Your device keeps its own credential. After Wi-Fi changes, cellular hand-offs or switching apps, the session returns by itself, usually in about a second.

≋

Adapts to the network

Video is paced to what the connection can carry, so the picture stays current on a slow or relayed link instead of falling behind.

◎

Trackpad and magnifier

Use the screen like a laptop trackpad or tap exactly where you want. Moving slowly shows a magnifier for the smallest targets.

⤢

Pinch to zoom

Zoom into any part of the Mac with two fingers; the view follows the pointer. Crisp and Native quality use your display's real pixels.

⧉

Copy and paste

Select text on the Mac and tap Copy to have it on your iPhone too, or paste from your device. Nothing syncs unless you ask.

⇄

Your devices, together

Move a session from iPhone to iPad with one tap, and pair another device from one already connected by showing a one-time QR code.

◍

Any VPN, or none

Mirkio tries every route at once and keeps the fastest: your own VPN when it is on, otherwise Mirkio Connect. Nothing to configure, no ports to open.

⌂

Privacy curtain

Dim the Mac's own screen while you work from afar. Anyone at the Mac sees a dark screen; it lifts the moment they use its keyboard or mouse.

⌘

A real Mac keyboard

Shortcuts, function keys, the app switcher and Spotlight are a tap away, alongside your hardware keyboard and trackpad.

Set up once

Three steps, then never again.

Install Mirkio Host

Open it on your Mac, allow Screen Recording (and Accessibility for control), then turn on sharing. It lives quietly in the menu bar.

Pair with a code

Choose Pair device on the Mac and scan the QR code with Mirkio on your iPhone or iPad. The code works once and expires in five minutes.

Connect from anywhere

Open Mirkio and you are back at your Mac, at home or across the world. Opening the app again returns to where you were.

Private by design

Your screen goes only to your devices.

There is no Mirkio account and no analytics. Your devices and your Mac encrypt everything end to end with keys that never leave them; when Mirkio Connect carries a session, it passes along data it cannot read.

  • Pinned TLS. Your iPhone checks your Mac's exact certificate on every connection.
  • One credential per device, kept in the Keychain and revocable from the Mac at any time.
  • No open ports. The Mac listens only on private networks; Mirkio Connect reaches it by an outgoing connection.
  • Privacy curtain. Optionally darken the Mac's own screen while you work from afar.
  • Clipboard on request. Text moves only when you tap Copy or Paste.
